A Bledsoe County deputy has been fired for pawning county property: Sheriff Jimmy Morris says that Jake Brewer was fired on Aug. 9th after it was discovered that he pawned his own county-issued firearm and another deputy’s gun at Dunlap and Dayton businesses. A report is being sent to the District Attorney’s Office for a full investigation in determining on whether or not it’s a case of official misconduct. Brewer has worked for the Sheriff’s Office for seven years and has had no problems prior to this.
