The City of Harriman is looking to hire a new fire chief. Tuesday night, Chief David Bailey appeared before the city council during their regular monthly meeting and stated that he would be leaving the city to take a similar position in Madison, Alabama. Bailey was hired in early 2016 from Virginia. During his time as fire chief, he had never lived in Harriman. He told the council that he had family in Madison and would also be making more money. He will serve in the position until the end of April.
