Tennessee’s Education Commissioner Candace McQueen announced a new plan this week that will make schools more accountable along with a way to present parents with ways on how to evaluate neighborhood schools. For instance, public schools will assigned a letter grade from A to F in order to present a better evaluation to parents. With this new plan, the state will fall into compliance with a federal law called “The Every Student Succeeds Act”. The new school grading system will be unveiled in the fall of 2018.
