The Roane County Board of Education is set to have a work session Thursday night in order to continue discussion on the controversial topic of consolidating all five Roane County high schools into one facility. Several people are expected to turn out for the meeting which will be held in the Roane County High School Auditorium in Kingston. After the public outcry over the subject, the BOE decided to hold the work session to discuss the issue and to possibly make adjustments. A second plan could be looked at that would exclude the closing of Oliver Springs and Midway High Schools. A special-called meeting could follow the work session. The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM EST.
