A three-year-old in Monroe County died yesterday afternoon after being found in a locked car for at least 35 minutes. Deputies said the boy’s grandmother told them she was mowing the neighbor’s lawn while a 15-year-old kept an eye on him. She returned to the home on Gose Lane and asked the teenager where the boy was. A search began that led them to the car the three-year-old was in. The child was taken by ambulance to Sweetwater Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident is under investigation.
