ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED IN MORGAN COUNTY VEHICLE ACCICENT

One person died and two others were injured after a vehicle crash in Morgan County yesterday.

Troopers state 35-year-old Amber Manis of Oakdale was traveling south on Airport Road in a Chrysler mini van near Young Road when her vehicle went into the oncoming lane of travel and hit a Mazda sedan driven by 40-year-old Joseph Jones of Rockwood. The report says Manis had been drinking and had drugs in her system.

Jones was killed in the crash. A 10-year-old passenger in the car Jones was driving and Manis were injured.

Manis was charged with vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, and other traffic violations.
