MAN PUNCHES CROSSVILLE POLICE OFFICER IN THE FACE

A Crossville man has been charged with punching a police officer in the face. According to reports, a male passed a parked police car in a suspicious manner. The man was questioned, lied about his identity and then tried to flee. 23-year-old Christopher Ray Farr told the officer that he had no idea why he lied and continued to get away. Farr ended up punching the officer and ran resulting in the officer tasing him. He was finally placed into custody after another short struggle. Along with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, Farr was also served three outstanding warrants.
