Thursday, Marsha Blackburn was sworn in as the first female to become the U.S. senator from Tennessee. Blackburn will also be one of the first two Republican women to ever serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Blackburn defeated former Gov. Phil Bredesen back in November for the seat previously held by Bob Corker.
