The MEDIC Regional Blood Center is calling for Type-O-Negative blood, the universal donor blood. However, only 1-15 people have it. MEDIC reached out to the public via their Facebook page for the specific blood type donations. Officials say that donations of that blood type have dropped sharply. Certain blood types are usually in high demand at the end and beginning of each year. If you are a potential donor, call them at 865-524-3074. MEDIC Regional Blood Centers are based in Knoxville with several satellite centers in East Tennessee, including Crossville.
