After his 90-day probationary period ended last week, Thomas McCormick was officially voted in as the full-time city manager by members of The Oliver Springs Town Council last night. McCormick replaced former City Manager Chris Mason, who served as city manager for almost two years before being elected Roane County Trustee  last November.

McCormick was among a list of some 10 candidates; his expertise in water and sewer operations put him at the top of the list. His salary is reported to be just under $50,000 a year.
