The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will partner with Rivian to place Waypoint electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at all 56 Tennessee State Parks. The locations depend on the availability of electricity and planned future park upgrades.

These will be level two chargers, compatible with all EV models. Officials say this service will initially be free, and drivers will be able to easily monitor their vehicle’s charging session from the Rivian app.

Rivian is planning to start installations of the stations as early as this fall into March of 2022.
