On Friday, Rockwood Police and Fire Department officials responded to a single-vehicle crash on South Gateway Avenue around 10 PM.

Henry Eaton Jr, age 56 of Rockwood, drove his Pontiac into a utility pole. Eaton and his passenger were not injured. According to the police department report Eaton was driving on a suspended license and without insurance on the car. He also had to take a field sobriety test which he failed according to the officer’s report. Rockwood electric utility crews had to come out and repair the line which took some time so the southbound lanes were hindered for about 2 hours for the investigation, repair, and clean up.
