Cumberland County, TN- On September 20, Charles Price was arrested for Theft under $1,000.
Back in April, a woman hired a man named Daniel Wright to put in a utility pole and some wiring. Charles Price had been working for Mr. Wright at the time and asked the woman for some money for supplies. She claimed she gave Price two checks, one for $100, one for $200, and $50 in cash. However, Price never returned.
If you hired a contractor or someone to complete a project in your home, do not give out money beforehand unless it is someone you trust. Most contractors do require a deposit. Make sure you have all their information before giving them any money to avoid being scammed.
