Terry Joe Dunaway was born March 10, 1958, to James Edward and Pearl Dove Monk Dunaway. In 1998, Terry had his second birthday when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. God gave Terry a servant’s heart, and he loved people, so he was always helping someone else. He made his living as a machinist but had a passion for carpentry work and was known as a Mister-Fix-It by his friends. He built both of his family homes and built the inside walls, stage, and did all the plumbing in the original Attic building at Cumberland Fellowship Church.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents James and Pearl, in-laws Glen and Alberta Whittenburg, brother Sewell Dunaway, sister-in-law Sherry Dunaway, brothers-in-law Robert Dille and Rick Patton, and nephews Eric Dille and Danny Joe Dunaway.
Terry is survived by his wife Linda Whittenburg Dunaway; son Adam Blake Dunaway; brothers James Dunaway, Danny Dunaway, and Olivia; sisters Alecia Dille, Sonya Seitz, and Stan, and Brenda Beaty; sister-in-law Deanna Dunaway, brother-in-law Albert Whittenburg and Rhonda, and a whole host of loving nieces and nephews.
Terry went to his eternal home on November 7, 2022.
The memorial Service will be held at Cumberland Fellowship Church on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to12:00 prior to the service.
