PUTNAM COUNTY: DRUG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO 3 ARRESTS

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – On November 17, 2022, Putnam County Drug Division as well as Deputies conducted a search warrant in the early hours between Cookeville and Algood, in the Candyland area.
During the search, Investigators and Deputies arrested 3 individuals inside the house who all have prior arrest records as well as some having Criminal Felony Records and some having Gang Affiliation.
Illegal narcotics and firearms were seized as well during the search; the list of narcotics includes Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Marijuana.
Sheriff Eddie Farris stated, “This type of criminal behavior will not be tolerated in Putnam County. This year alone the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has responded to 53 overdose calls from illegal narcotics which is largely related to our Federal Governments Open Border policy. All states are being affected by this policy and Tennessee is no different than any border state. The citizens of Putnam County have the right to a safe environment as well as a safe neighborhood without having to live next to a drug house.
