SIX HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS GRADUATE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM IN HARRIMAN

Tuesday morning at the Harriman Library, six- 5th grade homeschool students received their D.A.R.E. program diplomas and certificates after graduating a 10-week class presented by the Roane County Sheriff’s Department D.A.R.E. program. The class was conducted by Officer Chris Hughes. He and the students gathered with the staff of the Sheriff’s Office and Regional D.A.R.E. program Vice President, and librarian for photos marking the success of the 10-week class. The few hours a week class was the first of its kind in the state of Tennessee for homeschooled students.
