Putnam County, TN- On Wednesday before noon, Racheal Blackard of TN was traveling eastbound in a GMC Envy on Interstate 40 around MM 279 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle came to a final rest facing west.
According to the THP report, the 34-year-old driver was not wearing her seatbelt and was transported to Vanderbilt for injuries.
The vehicle had two juvenile passengers as well. A two-year-old was transported to Vanderbilt for injuries and a three-year-old passed due to the crash. They were both reportedly wearing their seatbelts.
Charges on the driver are pending.
