MORGAN COUNTY MAN CHARGED AFTER THROWING PUPPIES OFF BRIDGE

MORGAN COUNTY, TN — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office stated the man charged with throwing six puppies off a bridge is identified as 24-year-old Tyler Underwood. He was charged with six counts of cruelty to animals after five puppies were found dead in a cooler after they were dumped into a river. One of the puppies survived.

Underwood’s arrest warrant, states that Underwood told investigators, “he had attempted to take the dogs to several local animal shelters all of which told him that they could not take the puppies.”

The surviving puppy was taken in by MoCo Mutts Rescue Center. The puppy is now in a foster home in Oak Ridge.
