One man dead after an accident at approximately 3:30 Saturday morning. According to the THP, a 2020 Chevy Silverado pickup was attempting to exit Interstate 40 East Bound at the 322 mile marker (Peavine Road) when the driver of the vehicle apparently overcorrected after leaving the Interstate. The vehicle then rolled several times, ejecting the driver. The vehicle then struck a tree and then struck an unoccupied 2020 Chevrolet Suburban parked at the Hampton Inn.
The driver of the vehicle, 20 year old Jared Kirkland of Crossville passed away at the scene of the accident.
