Cumberland County, TN- On 3/07/23 Cumberland County deputies responded to a residence off Running Creek Drive for a report of a possible burglary in progress. When the deputies arrived, Tansi security was on the scene where they found 43-year-old Crystal Richards who was laying on the living room floor.  The deputy observed the front window of the residence was broken and Crystal had lacerations on her right hand. When questioning Crystal about her hand, she alleged she had cut it when she punched the window to get inside the residence. She told deputies her boyfriend’s sister lived at the residence and she was trying to see her.

When speaking with a male subject on the scene of the incident, he stated that his sister lives at the home and he had gone over there to get away from Crystal. He claimed he typically does that when they have arguments. He allegedly told officers that they were out in the road arguing, and Crystal walked away, next thing he knew, she was making entry into the house. When he saw her, she was laying on the floor bleeding from the wrist, and that’s when he called 911.

When deputies spoke with the man’s sister, she stated that she lives at the residence and Crystal is not allowed to be there. The actual homeowner is currently in the nursing home where he was made aware of the incident.

After investigation Crystal was taken by EMS for medical treatment.

She was then charged with Aggravated Burglary and Vandalism.
