ROANE COUNTY, TN- The Kingston Police Department is investigating a burglary and aggravated assault that took place Tuesday morning before 8 AM.
Kingston officers arrived at Blue Jay Storage buildings which are located off Kingston Highway for a burglary. When they arrived they spoke to the owner who stated he had seen a dark-colored Scion parked outside of a storage building. The owner told officers he observed a white male and white female coming out of unit 45 who were not the renters of the unit. The couple got into the vehicle and sped away striking the owner with the mirror of the car.
The officers observed the lock was cut off the unit and items were taken out. The owner did snatch a photo of the vehicle before it sped away. If you have any information on this incident, please contact the Roane Central Dispatch at 865-354-8045.
