TRAFFIC STOP IN ALGOOD LEADS TO DUI AND DRUG SEIZURES

Algood, TN- On March 15, 2023, officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspected DUI. The driver was identified as John R Bilbrey. During the encounter approximately 10.6 grams of methamphetamine, assorted pills including Hydrocodone and Oxycodone, an unknown white powder, and drug paraphernalia were discovered.
Bilbrey was booked into the Putnam County Jail. He has been charged with Violation of the Meth Free Tennessee Drug Act, Driving under the influence, and two counts of Manufacturing/Delivery/Sell of a controlled substance.
All evidence in the case will be forwarded to the TBI Crime laboratory for analysis.
