As of right now, it looks like the severe weather will stay to the west of Crossville and the Cumberland Plateau. It will become windy going into the weekend.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 74. South southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Low around 57. Windy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then a slight chance of showers between 10am and 1pm. Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 71. Windy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 69. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming east after midnight.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 59.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.
