AUTHORITIES DISPATCHED TO LANTANA FOR INTOXICATED MAN POINTING A GUN AT NEIGHBORS

Cumberland County, TN- Earlier this morning around 1:45 AM, deputies were called out to a residence off Lantana Road in reference to an intoxicated male subject pointing a gun at the caller.

When deputies arrived, the complainant directed them to the intoxicated male on his property who was identified as 56-year-old Paolo Juliani. Deputies immediately noticed Mr. Juliani to have a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person, red watery eyes, and to be unsteady on his feet.

The complainant alleged that Mr. Juliani was pointing a handgun in the direction of him and his family member before crossing the fence that separated the property between the two. They were able to talk him into dropping the gun, however, he came onto their property where he was acting belligerent and attempted to assault him with a closed fist. The man admitted to countering with a closed fist, rendering Mr. Juliani unconscious.

According to the deputies, Mr. Juliani’s level of intoxication posed a threat to himself and others as well as being threatening and a nuisance.

Paolo Juliani was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication. His bond is 1,500 and is set to be released today.
