Rockwood Fire Department was dispatched Thursday around noon to a house fire at a residence off Derrick Street. Heavy smoke was seen as the fire units arrived and an attack was immediately done on the structure. No one was home at the time of the fire and the firefighters stayed on the scene most of the afternoon working on hotspots. The fire also rekindled late last night around 10:30 responding units back to the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished.
