CORA LEE EMERY age 91 of Crossville, TN passed away May 11, 2023. She was born October 5, 193,1 in Bell Farm, KY the daughter of Porter and Icie Dishman Crabtree. She worked with the Cumberland County Schools for several years as a substitute teacher. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her church families very much. She was an avid reader of the bible and loved reading books, especially mysteries.
She is survived by her sons- Gary Emery (Charlene) of Morristown, TN, Jimmy Emery (Loretta) of Mohawk, TN, Michael Emery (Wanda) of Morristown, TN, Russell Emery (Janet) of Crossville, TN, and Jeff Emery also of Crossville, TN, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, sister- Marie Price of Jamestown, TN and special niece- Tonya Speich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Emery, and brothers- Theo Crabtree, Fred Crabtree, Larry Eugene Crabtree, and Lester Crabtree.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, at 1 pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 am-1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woody Cemetery.
