A Cumberland County deputy was attempting to serve a warrant on a female located off Taylor’s Chapel Road on Sunday and ended up arresting another suspect for drugs.
When the deputy arrived at the address in search of the woman, he observed a man jump out of a car and attempted to hide on the other side of the vehicle after noticing the deputy’s police unit. When approaching the man, he was identified as 30-year-old Marcus Braddam who told the deputy he had been arrested before for possession of a firearm.
When conducting a pat down for weapons, the deputy found a baggy containing 4.20 grams of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and a syringe sticking out of his pocket.
Marcus Braddam was arrested and charged with Man, Del, Sell, or Possession of Meth. Other unidentified subjects at the residence, ran inside, closed the doors, and advised they would not communicate with law enforcement.
