According to the official Jimmy Buffett website, he passed away yesterday at the age of 76.
“Jimmy passed away peacefully on September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music, and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.”
Buffett was an American singer-songwriter, musician, author, and businessman. He was best known for his music, which often portrays an “island escapism” lifestyle. Together with his Coral Reefer Band, Buffett recorded hit songs including “Margaritaville” and “Come Monday”.
