Ruth spent her life doing what she loved, caring for others or helping someone in need. This led to her becoming an LPN, which was one of her proudest achievements. She spent many years taking care of other people in this profession, including time as a Traveling Nurse. She was always going where she was needed.
Ruth has gone home now, embraced in the loving arms of her Mama Effie and Papa Henry Rogers as well as her son Johnny, granddaughter Debbie, great-grandson Joshua, great-great-granddaughter Nora, and all 6 of her siblings.
Her caring legacy has been passed on to over 100 descendants which includes 4 children, 18 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a special woman and will be missed greatly.
Services will be held for Ruth on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 5 pm-6 pm with service to follow at 6 pm.
