POLICE: EMAIL THREATS FROM 9-YEAR-OLD CLOSES CLEVELAND, TN. CITY SCHOOLS

Authorities say a 9-year-old Cleveland, Tennessee student sent threatening emails to a school administrator Wednesday night.

The threats prompted school officials to close schools in Cleveland today.

Officers say the emails specifically named six schools in the Cleveland school district.

The student faces charges of making threats of mass violence on school grounds.

All Cleveland, Tennessee city schools will resume classes tomorrow morning (Friday, September 15, 2023).

Police did not release any additional details.
