Quick action from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Skyler J. Aslinger of Oliver Springs.

Authorities took Aslinger into custody today following overnight vandalisms of four churches along Highway 62 in the Coalfield area. The four include Big Mountain Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Middle Creek Baptist Church, and Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian. Officials say most of the churches sustained broken doors and windows. Authorities say security camera footage showed Aslinger in the act of causing damage. (see the main picture and picture below this story)

Aslinger is facing four counts of vandalism and one count of burglary. He was transported to the Morgan County jail.
