BICYCLIST STRUCK BY PICKUP TRUCK IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A bicyclist sustained injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Cumberland County.

According to the report released this morning, a 1994 Ford F-150 driven by 60-year-old Harold Horn of Crossville was traveling south on Vandever Road near S Tower Road Thursday when he struck 74-year-old Roger Woody of Crossville.

Woody was wearing reflective clothing while riding the bicycle.

Deputies say Horn told them he never saw Woody.

Medics transported Woody by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.

The report states Horn was issued a citation for failure to exercise due care.
