OVERTURNED VEHICLE ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY CREATING TRAFFIC BACKUP

An overturned vehicle at the 333-mile marker of I-40 in eastern Cumberland County is creating a backup to near the 329-mile marker (Crab Orchard).

As of 10 a.m. central, eastbound lanes are blocked at the scene.

Motorists heading eastbound can get off at the Crab Orchard exit and take Highway 70 East to Westel.

In Westel, turn left at the signs for I-40, go north a few miles, and get back on I-40.

Officials say westbound traffic at the accident scene is fine with no delays.
