OWNERSHIP OF HOMESTEADS TOWER TURNED OVER TO TN STATE PARKS
On Monday, a request from the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Association was approved by the Cumberland County Building and Grounds committee to turn over the Historic Cumberland Homesteads Tower’s ownership and operation over to the Tennessee State Park system.
Chairman Brenda King of the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Association issued the request which was approved across the board. According to King, the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Association has been in talks with the Tennessee State Park system and Cumberland Mountain State Park officials for a while and says they were willing to take over the operation of the historic landmark.
