TWO SEPARATE VEHICLE THEFTS REPORTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies recently responded to multiple reports of vehicle thefts. A locked 1999 Ford Explorer was stolen from the road outside a home on the 200 block of Peter Pan Avenue sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday, May 17, and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19. The owner, a Grimsley resident, had the keys in his possession. The red two-door Ford Explorer has Tennessee license plate 8G9-3X2. On Sunday, May 20, a 1987 Dodge truck – unlocked and with the keys inside – was reported stolen from a Pomona Road residence. The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. This vehicle is a red-and-white single-cab truck with a long wheel base and body damage to the driver’s side bed. Tennessee registration 468-BQL. There are no known suspects in either incident.
