A registered violent sex offender was arrested in Crossville Sunday who was at a residence on Goodwin Circle within a 1,000 foot limit of a playground. Gary Lane Meadows, age 55, of Sparta was taken to the Cumberland County jail. Meadows was convicted in 1994 for rape of a child.
