A child who was the victim of a high fall was rescued from a Signal Mountain trail on Easter Sunday.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. at Signal Point Trail.

Hamilton County EMS spokeswoman Amy Maxwell says the 12-year-old girl fell 9 feet from a rock, injuring her head.

Several agencies teamed up to save the child.

Maxwell says the rescue took about an hour and half and the child was conscious and alert.
