As always, the New Year’s Day college football bowls were as exciting as ever. #6 Ohio State took out Washington 28-23 in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes held a solid lead of 28-3 until the third quarter when Washington bounced back. But it still was not enough. In Sugar Bowl action, Texas defeated Georgia 28-21, while Kentucky edged out Penn State in the Citrus Bowl 27-24. LSU beat out UCF with a score of 40-32.
