Funeral services for Captain Dempsey Walton “Whitey” White, age 90, of Fairfield Glade, will be Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Fairfield Glade Christ Lutheran Church, with graveside service to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Katherine (Wilson) White; children and their spouses, Andrew and Jona White, and Angela and Ralph Ellis; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shriners’ Hospital for Children. Bilbrey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
