UNEMPLOYMENT RATES GO UP IN ALL COUNTIES IN TENNESSEE

Data released today (Thursday, July 25, 2019) by the Tennessee Department of Labor indicates unemployment increased in all of Tennessee’s counties during June 2019. Sixty-one counties have unemployment rates below 5 percent, while 34 counties now have unemployment rates at, or above, 5 percent. Locally, the highest unemployment rate is Rhea County at 6.7, followed by Bledsoe at 6.4, Fentress at 5.2 and Morgan County at 5 percent. The unemployment rate in Cumberland and Roane County came in at 4.9 percent, Pickett County is 4.5, and Anderson and White County checked in at 4.4 percent.
