WATSON TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT ON MURDER CHARGE

Curtis Watson is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14, 2019) for escaping prison and the rape and murder of a corrections administrator. Watson is accused of leaving his prison work detail, going to the home of Corrections Administrator Debra Johnson on prison grounds, where he is accused of brutally raping and killing her. Watson was captured four days later a few miles from the prison. The arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Lauderdale County Justice Center in Ripley, Tennessee.
