A Madisonville man was convicted by a Monroe County jury yesterday of first-degree murder. Officers say 22-year-old Robert Charles Adkins was accused of the death his father, Charles Taylor, in late 2016. Adkins received a life sentence and will be eligible for consideration for parole in 2072.
