TENNESSEANS WILL HAVE TO TURN CLOCKS BACK 1 HOUR FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME, DESPITE NEW STATE LAW

Tennesseans will have to turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on November 3, 2019.

Now people are wondering why this is the case with a new Daylight Savings Time law passed in the state earlier this year.

The reason is the law still needs to be passed by Congress in order to make it permanent. For this, Congress will have to amend the Uniform Time Act of 1996.

So basically, the ultimate decision will be up to the federal government.

In the meantime, many Tennesseans can enjoy an extra hour of sleep on November 3, 2019.
