Roy Laufayette Sarten, age 81, of Harriman, passed away December 15, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Opal; children and their spouses: Susan (Ron) Summers, Gerald (Serena) Sarten, Sheila (Kevin) Garrett, and Hollie (Mike) Taylor; sisters: Lucille Collins and Edna Goins, 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; close brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Linda Hill; sisters-in-law: Ruth Letner; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from noon to 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. Funeral service will follow. Graveside will follow in Clax Gap Cemetery.
