A single vehicle accident on Cookeville Boat Dock Road in Putnam County this week claimed the life of a Clay County woman. Troopers say a 2004 Pontiac Vibe driven by 32-year-old Melissa Hester of Celina ran off the road and struck a utility pole. Hester passed away from injuries sustained. The accident report indicates she was not restrained at the time of impact.
