The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a truck driver was killed Tuesday in McMinn County on County Road 750. Troopers say 55-year-old Larry M. Wallace of Athens was heading north when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree head on. Wallace passed away from injuries sustained. Troopers say Wallace was not wearing a seatbelt, but the report says wearing a seatbelt would not have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
