According to Wayne County, Kentucky Sheriff Tim Catron, another man has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to domestic violence and a female being held against her will. Deputies Derek Dennis and Brent Rose were dispatched last night to a residence on Red Bud Hill. Upon arrival the deputies located the victim walking down the driveway crying and covered in blood. The victim stated that her boyfriend had picked her up from work earlier and while driving back towards the residence he started hitting her. At one point the accused tried to hit another vehicle head-on. He also refused to take the victim to the hospital for treatment. Once at the residence the accused told the victim he would kill her and her two children if she called the police while continuing to assault her. The victim ran outside to find help when the accused caught up to her and started choking her while continuing to hit her. Once back inside the accused continued his assault and took a knife and struck her in the arm as he was trying to stab the wall beside her head. The accused attempted to kick in a door where the two children were hiding while threatening them. The victim’s dog bit the accused during the assault as it was trying to protect her from him. The accused then hit the dog. Deputies were unable to locate the accused inside the residence but located him outside in a wooded area. The accused ran from the deputies and was taken into custody after a foot pursuit.
The victim was treated by the Wayne County Emergency Medical Service at the scene and transported to the Wayne County Hospital for further treatment.
