MEGAN BOSWELL FACING 19 CHARGES INCLUDING FELONY MURDER AND ABUSE OF A CORPSE
A Sullivan County, Tennessee Grand Jury returned indictments on Megan Boswell charging her with felony murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, failure to report a death under suspicious unusual or unnatural circumstances, and twelve counts of false reports
Baby Evelyn Boswell was reported missing by her family in February 2020, while she was in the custody of her mom. but had reportedly not been seen since December. An AMBER Alert was issued and after and after 16 days, authorities located Evelyn’s body.
“She didn’t deserve this. No child does,” TBI Director David Rausch said. “That’s why we will continue to work to pursue justice in this case. It’s the best and most important thing we can do to honor her memory.”
Megan was already in jail on false reporting charges in connection to this case at the time of the indictment.
Megan Boswell is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
