Dunlap firefighters and medics responded to Highway 111/8 on the side of Cagle Mountain yesterday for a vehicle accident. The driver of a SUV had to be extricated from the vehicle and was later transported to an area hospital. A tractor-trailer driver was also treated on the scene. The highway was blocked for a short period of time for the extrication and removal of debris. Sequatchie County Rescue, the sheriff’s department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Sequatchie County Emergency Management Agency all assisted at the scene. The names of those involved will be released at a later time.
