A Cumberland Countian well known to law enforcement was arrested yesterday on drug charges. Authorities took 57-year-old Kurt Havlik into custody for felony manufacture, sale and delivery of meth and simple possession of drugs. He was taken to and processed into the jail in Crossville.
Havlik has a criminal record in the county and was arrested recently on more drug offenses.
Law enforcement stopped Havlik last month (November 2020) after he pulled out of Executive Inn in Crossville for a traffic violation. He reportedly told authorities he had a burnt marijuana cigarette in the vehicle, a search allegedly revealed several pills, meth and just over $900 in cash. Havlik was charged with felony manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs as well as meth.
Havlik was arrested again the same month (Nov. 2020) after authorities got a tip of illegal drug sales in a room at the Quality Inn in Crossville. Law enforcement encountered Havlik and allegedly located pills and nearly 7 grams of meth. Also reportedly found under a mattress included several unused plastic bags, a digital scale and $260 in cash. Havlik was arrested then for felony manufacture, sale and delivery of meth and a controlled substance.
